Boondocks Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant’s goal is to provide a fresh, unique and engaging destination that will not only attract new visitors to West Jefferson and Ashe County but will also be a place that residents are proud to call their own. We are Ashe County’s first and only Commercially licensed Craft Beer Brewery and we brew small batches of hand crafted beers weekly that are only available in our Tap Room. With two fully stocked bars we have over 30 craft beers on tap that are constantly rotating along with a large selection of bottled beers with a strong focus on North Carolina craft beers. We have an affordable menu featuring casual-upscale high-quality items using fresh and locally grown ingredients prepared by our talented Chef and kitchen team.

Established in 2012.
With a passion for quality Craft Beer, quality food and quality service, owner Gary Brown opened Boondocks Brewing Tap Room & Restaurant in West Jefferson on August 1st, 2012.
Our founder and head brewer, Gary Brown, is often heard stating that “I spent the first 50 years of my life making a living, I plan to spend the second half making a difference“. After 30+ years as a technology professional Gary started Boondocks Brewing in 2012 and quickly revitalized the small town of West Jefferson in the Mountains of North Carolina…..
